I HAVE TIME.

At the beautiful age of 37, I’ve started to wonder:

Why are we in such a rush?

Why do we feel like we have to accomplish everything as quickly as possible?

Get married.

Decide if you want kids.

Have the kids.

Buy the house.

Build the career.

Start the business.

Think about retirement.

Figure yourself out.

And preferably, do it all before 30.

But then what?

What about just staying present?

Staying in the moment?

What are we supposed to do in our 30s?

And what happens in our 40s?

Are we just supposed to sit around and watch the accomplishments we rushed toward in our 20s?

I don’t get it.

Well let me not lie… actually, I do.

We’ve been taught to rush.

We know why we rush. Society gives us timelines for what a successful life is supposed to look like, and somewhere along the way, we start treating those timelines like deadlines.

That shit is boring AF! I’m not interested in living my life like it has an expiration date the healing work I’ve done has made that even clearer. I’m not in a rush

I’m excited about getting older!

At 37, I have so much life to look forward to.

I haven’t met some of the best people I’ll ever know.

I haven’t worked with some of my best clients yet.

I haven’t experienced some of my biggest business successes.

I haven’t learned some of the lessons that will completely change the way I see myself and the world.

I haven’t experienced all the unconditional love that’s available to me.

There are places I haven’t seen. Ideas I haven’t had. Dreams I haven’t dreamed yet.

Why would I want to rush past all of that?

There’s something incredibly freeing about realizing that your best years don’t have to be behind you simply because you’ve gotten older.

One of my favorite questions to sit with is: what’s the best that can happen?

Not the worst. Not all the ways it could go sideways. The best. Because we spend so much time bracing for impact that we forget to actually imagine the version where everything works out beautifully.

What if your 30s are when you finally start becoming yourself?

What if your 40s bring the love, freedom, confidence, wealth, friendships, creativity, and peace you couldn't have imagined at 25?

What if getting older isn't a loss?

What if it's an expansion?

Now think about the fact that they haven’t happened yet — but they will. That’s not wishful thinking. That’s faith backed by everything you’ve already survived and built and become

Now, when I think about the future, I don't immediately think about what could go wrong.

I think:

What's the best that can happen?

I don't know.

And that's the exciting part.

I don't need to know yet.

I'm not behind.

Neither are you.

You don't need to have everything figured out by 25.

You don't need to have your entire life constructed by 30.

You don't need to panic because someone else's timeline looks different from yours.

You are allowed to take your time.

You are allowed to change your mind.

You are allowed to become someone new.

You are allowed to build a life that doesn't make sense to anyone but you.

And you're allowed to be excited about getting older.

With the healing work I’ve done, like really done, in the quiet and the hard moments and the solitude — getting older feels like a gift.

I trust myself differently now. I make decisions from a different place. And if I’ve come this far with this much still ahead of me?

It’s going to be fun. Like, genuinely, beautifully fun.

I can't wait to find out.

What's the best that can happen?
